What is the Kiwanis Family? • Group of service organizations that range from all ages. • Kiwanis International sponsors the other smaller branches of the Kiwanis Family. • Without the Kiwanis International Foundation, we wouldn’t have Key Club today. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

Kiwanis International • Organization of members of every age who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time. • Headquartered in Indianapolis, IN • Made up of approximately 8,600 clubs in 96 countries with over 586,000 adult members. • Sponsors the other smaller branches of the Kiwanis Family. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

  6. Aktion Club • For adults who live with a disability. • Mission: develop initiative and leadership skills; serve their community; integrate into society, dignity and value of citizens living with disabilities. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

Circle K International • Circle K International (CKI) is the premiere university service organization in the world sponsored by Kiwanis International. • 450 colleges in 17 nations. • Targeted at college and university students. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

Key Club International • Key Club is the largest high school service leadership organization in the world! • Key Club empowers its quarter million youth members to lead and serve almost 5,000 clubs in 24 nations. • Mission Statement: • Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide service, build character, and develop leadership. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

Builder’s Club • The largest service organization for middle school students. • Student-led community service organization. • Motto: Building leaders • Vision: To develop competent, capable, caring leaders through service. • Middle school step to elementary organization K-Kids. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

  12. Kiwanis BUG • Program designed to recognize students who raise their grades to an acceptable range. • “BUG Honor Roll” • Elementary school age children ages 6-12. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

Kiwanis Key Leader • Kiwanis sponsored leadership education program for high school students. • Places over a course of 3 days, Friday–Sunday • Key Leader builds: Personal Integrity, Personal growth, Respect, Building Community, Pursuit of Excellence • Mission: to provide a life-changing experience that inspires young people to achieve their personal best through service leadership. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

Kiwanis One Day • The Kiwanis Service Initiative is observed worldwide in April -Kiwanis One Day. • Every club is encouraged to join with every level of the Kiwanis Family. • Opportunity to showcase the Kiwanis family and our commitment to service in the community. • April 21 is the selected 2012 date. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District

The Eliminate Project • Project cooperation between Kiwanis International and UNICEF. • Project to fundraise towards cures for Maternal/Neonatal Tetanus. • 1 baby dies of tetanus every 9 minutes. • With 3 doses of a vaccine, a mother can be immune from tetanus transferring to their child. | KFF Kiwanis Family and Foundation Committee California Nevada Hawaii District
