  1. Brainerd Rotary leading community on a P(+)sitive Charge (1888PressRelease) The Rotary Club, located in Brainerd Minnesota, recently engaged the local community by hosting a three-day professional photo-op, where residents appeared in front of a camera with a handmade sign stating why they love the area. The success was overwhelming. Minneapolis-St. Paul, MN-WI - BRAINERD - The Brainerd Rotary Club recently asked residents: Why do you love living in the Brainerd lakes area? And residents answered. More than 1,000 of them. Positive Charge is a community-wide photo campaign featuring residents holding hand-written signs displaying their positive messages and motivational statements, describing why they love living in the Brainerd lakes area. Professional photographs were taken over a three-day period and will be displayed in the windows of area businesses, churches and offices, online and in print starting on Memorial Day - just in time to impact locals as well as Twin Cities residents who spend their weekends here. "We want to build upon the positivity that's already here, enhancing people's train of thought, even if it's only for an instant," said Jeff Torfin, Positive Charge co-chair. The World Positive Premiere was at 7 p.m. on May 17 at Brainerd's Franklin Arts Center Auditorium and featured Rotary members describing how they've witnessed the Charge impacting the community already. The nearly 300 photos of residents with their signs revealing the Positive Charge campaign in its entirety were also shown, the first time the photos have been seen by participants.

  2. "We are overwhelmed by the success of this event. To have so many people from so many communities participate, it really shows what an amazing area we live in," said Torfin. http://www.brainerdrotary.com To see all the Photo's go to Facebook at www.facebook.com/APositiveCharge And "Like" Positive Charge.
