This might be how well residentialtaxation works in BC, or whether smoking is a good predictor of an earlydeath. It doesn't have to be an evaluation of Federal Reserve monetary policysince Reagan, in fact such grandiose topics are especially dangerous. Ideallythe paper should use readily available data to answer a question thatinterests you. If you are interested in fashion, find some data on fashiondesigners; if you’re interested in art find some data on art. If you areinterested in sports, there is lots of sports data available. If you’re interestedin plain old vanilla economics, and I am, then do a plain vanilla economicsproject (like a project I did on price dispersion a few years back see Hickeyand Jacks (2012)).
