  3. The image of the books • All the books are blue • The biggest book is Headway • The smallest is Blueprint

  4. System of the book division • Every book is divided into units • The number of pages in each unit differs: Blueprint (2-3) Headway (9-12) Matrix (12-14)

Language of the book & vocabulary All of these book are very rich in vocabulary; the richest and hardest to understand is Matrix • Blueprint - new words, everyday expressions • Headway - everyday expressions, a lot of new words, phrasal verbs • Matrix - scarcely used words,rich vocabulary, phrasal verbs, idioms, + wordlist

  7. As we already know: Very well developed in all of these books (and all units) listening reading speaking writing Skills

  8. Listening • Students may appreciate the tapescript at the end of Headway, otherwise all the books are equally good • Exercises for: - filling in the missing words - true or false exercises - comprehension questions

  9. Speaking • Discussions about problems • Asking and explaining • Comments to some interesting topics (previous reading) Reading • Stories • Comprehension questions • New words • Broadens knowledge

  11. Information about the English speaking countries All of these books give us informationaboutBritain, U.S., famous English and American people (e.g. Dickens), literature (David Copperfield), habits (cuisine), national characteristics. BUT they all could give more!!!
