  3. THE ESSENCE OF THE PARTNERSHIP Magnificat Computer Centre seeks to partner with interested schools for the purpose of proper management and training of students of the school. The partnership is to ensure that the following benefits accrue to the school and students: • The school will enjoy the benefit of computer facilities without necessarily acquiring them. • The school will be repositioned to compete favourably in the ever-changing Technology world of today. • This will ensure that every student who graduates from the school is compulsorily computer literate, having practical & proven knowledge. • The students from the school will be well grounded in writing online/computer based exams in line with Global practice which JAMB and other Educational Institutions are already buying into & implementing. • The school have the opportunity to generate additional income by making the Computer Laboratory available for use to external examination bodies like JAMB for the purpose of online examination. • The school’s reputation and image will be boosted as a technology-minded institution, thereby attracting potential students.

THE STRUCTURE OF THE PARTNERSHIP THE PACKAGES TO BE COVERED • Computer Appreciation • MS Windows • Computer Typing • MS Word • Internet THE TRAINING DURATION The lecture/training takes place Mondays to Fridays as part of the normal School Subject Time-Table throughout each term for the period of the agreement. RESPONSIBILITY FOR ADDITIONAL USAGE Where the Computer Centre is given out for use to external examination bodies like JAMB or other Organizations, the income generated belongs to the school.

THE OBLIGATIONS OF THE PARTNERS MCC’S OBLIGATIONS: • Provision of 20 Computer Systems • Installation & Networking of the Systems • Periodic Maintenance, Repairs, and replacement of damaged Systems • Monthly running/operational cost (Internet Subscription, salary for the Instructors etc) • Issuance of Certificates to students who fulfill the requirements. THE SCHOOL’S OBLIGATIONS: • Provision of Accommodation & Security for the Equipment. • Furniture (tables & chairs) • Provision of electricity/Power generating set • Payment of the agreed Contract fee per Term

OPTIONS FOR FEES PAYABLE WHERE THE SCHOOL IS TO OWN THE COMPUTERS AND OTHER INSTALLATIONS AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT For a two-year contract: MCC will charge a Contract fee of four hundred and thirty five thousand naira (N435,000) per term. For a three-year contract: MCC will charge a Contract fee of three hundred and eighty seven thousand naira (N387,000) per term. WHERE THE CONTRACTOR IS TO OWNTHE COMPUTERS AND OTHER INSTALLATIONS AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT For a two-year contract: MCC will charge a Contract fee of four hundred thousand naira (N400,000) per term. For a three-year contract: MCC will charge a Contract fee of three hundred and sixty five thousand naira (N365,000) per term. All the above stated costs cover Operational Cost, Tuition fee, Examination fees and Certificate.

  7. THE TRAINING LOCATION AND THE ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE TRAINING LOCATION/VENUE: The Computer Training Centre will be located within the School. Reasons: • Easy inculcation of the Training Schedule into the School Calendar/Time-Table • Easy access for all students to be trained in their own environment • Security of students is guaranteed under the watchful eyes of the School Authority. ISSUANCE/AWARD OF CERTIFICATE AT THE END OF TRAINING Before the issuance/award of certificate, the student must pass all the prescribed examinations (with not less than 50% mark on each package offered). Students who score below 50% in any package during the examination will have to pay extra fee for the next examination and re-write the package(s) they failed in the previous examinations. This is to ensure that students take the learning seriously.
