    3. Time – The Unique Blessing • Totally Perishable • Cannot be bought, rented, or stolen • There is no substitute for time • Same quantity for everyone • River-of-Time flows in ONE Direction • Time is NOT Manageable …To manage time we must manage ourselves

    4. Symptoms of Poor Time Management • Last minute rushes • Unexpected crisis after crisis • Never have time to do important things • Taking office work to the home • Degraded performance • Days pass by helplessly • Poor self image

    6. A. Does this happen to me? • Looking for things and not finding them • Lost keys, documents, telephone numbers • Appointments forgotten • Deadlines missed • Cluttered desk • Overflowing storage spaces

    7. B. Does this happen to me? • Friends dropping in unannounced • Telephone is a nuisance • Start something, get interrupted, start something else • Try to do everything myself • Have to do other people’s work

    13. A. Tips & Techniques • Keep your Time Log for a week • Organize Yourself - Desk, Office, Home • Use a small diary / time planner • Sort all documents - scrap or donate • A place for everything in the home • Learn to switch off the TV

    14. B. Tips & Techniques • Learn to manage Interruptions • Make the telephone work for you not against you • Do not be a perfectionist • Learn to say NO • You are not indispensable • Remember, if you die today the world will still go on

    15. C. Tips & Techniques • Procrastination is a bad habit- get rid of it fast • Find your own Prime Time of the day • Do the most difficult tasks in your Prime Time • Set deadlines – meet your deadlines • Analyze really difficult problems, and plan your solution strategy
