  3. PROJECT GOAL :-1)To promote positive interaction among males and their young children with special emphasis on helping young males (18 – 35 yrs.) from lower socio - economic backgrounds build relationships with their children and become more able to provide support.

  5. SCOPE To undertake a Knowledge, Attitude, Behaviour and Practices (KABP) Survey of young men 18-35 years in select communities to ascertain the underlying cause(s) for the apparent lack of involvement of fathers in the lives of their young children.

  6. PURPOSE • 1. To influence the design of a Behavioural Change Intervention Communication Campaign to address this issue. • 2. To influence the development and implementation of a Parent Education Training Programme specifically designed to target young males and fathers in 10 identified communities.
