  2. دور الالات في تطوير البناء • نظرا لمحدودية الطاقة الجسدية للإنسان ،وثقل مواد البناء عن غيرها من المواد ،فان اللجوء لاستخدام الآلة في مجال البناء عرف منذ عصور قديمة فاستعمال العجلات والروافع التي يتم تحريكها بقوة الانسان او الحيوان كانت معروفة واستمرت حتي يومنا هذا ولكن التغير الحاسم في استخدام الالة بدا بعد اختراع المحركات الميكانيكية و تحريك الالات بواسطتها وفد تركز دور الانسان بعد هذا التغير في ادارة الالة وتوجيهها و الاستفادة من تجربته هذه لتطويرها

  3. مميزا ت الآلات والمعدات • زيادة كبيرة في الإنتاج بالنسبة للعامل الواحد في مجال البناء • تخفيف الجهد الجسماني للعاملين في مجال البناء • تحسين نو عية الإنشاءات و الاستفادة الأفضل من المواد الخام • تقليل المدة الزمنية الازمة لإقامة الأبنية والمشاريع الهندسية • تفادي التأثيرات الجوية (حر، برد ،رياح،أمطار وغيرها) • رفع المستوى الفني والعلمي والاجتماعي للعاملين في مجال البناء بسبب ضرورة تأهيلهم تأهيلا تقنيا متقدما

  5. Concrete • Concrete is a mixture of cement, fine and coarse aggregates, and water. • Water is the key ingredient for chemical reaction for curing.

Types of Cement • Type I: General Purpose • Type II: Lower heat of hydration than Type I Type III: High Early Strength • Higher heat of hydration • quicker strength (7 days vs. 28 days for Type I) • Type IV: Low Heat of Hydration • Gradually heats up, less distortion (massive structures). • Type V: Sulfate Resisting • For footings, basements, sewers, etc. exposed to soils with sulfates.

  10. Concrete characteristics In the design of concrete mixes, three principal requirements for concrete are of importance: • Quality • Workability • Economical

  13. compressive strength The compressive strength of concrete is mainly affected by the water/cement ratio, degree of compaction, age, and temperature.

  14. Admixtures • Improve workability • Accelerate or retard setting and hardening • Aid in curing • Improve durability

Admixtures • Air-Entrainment: Add air voids with bubbles • Help with freeze/thaw cycles, workability, etc. • Decreases density: reduces strength, but also decreases W/C • Superplasticizers: increase workability by chemically releasing water from fine aggregates. • Fly ash is a very fine powder, essentially the waste product of thermal plants, Fly ash decreases the permeability of a concrete, increases its strength, reduces the need for water and improves the permeability. • Coloring agents are used for architectural needs.
