MILSET, was founded in 1987 in Quebec, Canada during the First International ExpoSciences with the aim of promote the development of the culture of science and technology among the Young people through quality experimental activities during their spare time. MILSET is a non goverment organization linked to UNSECO, its a member of the United Nations Economic and Social Council and it currently has activities in about 90 countries with impact on 5 millon of kids and young people around the world.

  5. RED stands for National Network of Science and Technology Activities for Youth. Itwas founded in March 25th, 2004 at the UPAEP University’s facilities (Universidad Popular Autónoma del Estado de Puebla) with the main pourpose of promote and coordinate science and technology activities of Young people in every level in Mexico. There are currently more tan 1,500 educational institutions, both public and private in every level - kindergarden, elementary, high school and undergraduate – that are activetely engaged with the RED´s activities. www.expociencias.net

Mission The RED - National Network of Youth Activities in Science and Technology - is a group of people and institutions that coordinate, promote and disseminate activities that provide participation spaces that contribute to the formation of a scientific and technological culture among children and young Mexicans.

  7. Vision To achieve the consolidation of a scientific and technological culture based on values​​, develop strategies that impact society by promoting the formation of human capital in research and helping to strengthen the lines of public policies aimed at the development of science and technology in the country.

  8. Values The RED bases its activities in collaborative work, friendship, honesty, identity, joy and consistency.

  9. General Purpose To encourage the skills and creativity of children and young people in matters of Science and Technology in Mexico to spread their potential at national and international level, providing a forum for expression and exchange of ideas and experiences

Infantiles y Specific objectives • To motivate children and young people with scientific curiosity to perform innovative projects. • To reward the ability and creativity of children and Young people promoting them at international level recognized events. • To gather high quality projects that can be recognized and realized with possible applications for industry, society and the educational sector.

  11. The RED organizes the EXPOSCIENCES ExpoSciences is the largest science and technology event in Mexico with the participation of children and Young people form every educational level, from kindergarden up to undergraduate.

  14. In Mexico are held annually: 18 Regional ExpoSciences 10 Young Scientist Affiliated Events 1 Scientific gangs meeting 1 NATIONAL EXPOSCIENCE

The NationalExpoSciences from 2003 to 2012, organized by UPAEP University, have gathered together about 10,000 participants and 2500 scientific projects presented by children and youths from more than 1500 educational institutions. The Regional ExpoSciences and Affiliated Events add up more than15,000 participants every year.

The National ExpoSciences Has had participants from guest countries such as: United States, Cuba, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina, South Africa, Spain, France, Czech Republic, Italy, Russia, Namibia, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Brazil, Canada, Belgium, England, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Switzerland, Germany , Kuwait, Latvia, Luxembourg, Morocco, Portugal, Slovakia and Uruguay

  17. Local Impact:Thestudents and teachersfromMexicanStatesregionallyinvitedpresenttheirresearchprojetcs. Non participantstudents are involved in theevent´sorganization; as well as support staff and sponsors suporttheplanning, implementation and difussion of theevents. • NationalImpact:More than 400 research, innovation and divulgationprojetcsonscience and technology are presented in 11 areas of knowledgementbyparticipantsfrom more tan 1500 institutionsfromeveryMexicanStates and guestcountries. • International Impact:The more prominentprojects are chosentointegratetheMexicanDelegationthatparticipate in 29 internationalevents of youthscience at Slovakia, England, Turkey, Brazil, Taiwan, Peru, Chile, Netherlands, Argentina, Belgium and other countries.

  18. YEAR COMPARATIVE OF REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS AND PROJECTS IN NATIONAL EXPOSCIENCES

ExpoSciences It is the Mexican Delegations’ selective national event which will participate in 29 international youth science and technology events of great worldwide prestige such as the Ceremony of Nobel Prizes in Sweden and since 2009 it is the selective event for kids of the scientific gangs that will participate in the MILSET’s ExpoSciences in Latin America and Russia.

  20. In ten years 933 mexicanchildren and youngsters and 491 teachers and resesearchershavepresented 582 projects in 125 internationalevents in 28 countries. En diez años, 933 niños y jóvenes mexicanos y 491 profesores e investigadores han presentado 582 proyectos en 125 eventos internacionales en 28 países (Russia, Brazil, Turkey, Chile, Namibia, South Africa, Peru, Tunisia, Sweden, Belgium, Malta, Paraguay, Azerbaijan, Italy, USA, Canada, Hungary, Argentina, Denmark, Colombia, Netherlands, Reunion, Germany, Korea, England, Slovakia, Bahrain, France). Thedelegations are coordinatedby UPAEP Universty.

  21. INTERNATIONAL AWARDS From 2003 to 2012 a total of 27 medals and 54 first places have been earned in addition to 35 International Accreditations
