  1. Issue 2353 Year XX English Edition Българскоиздание ABOUT US ADVERTISING USEFUL LINKS SITE MAP CONTACTS PARTNERS INDEX FRIDAY, 8 March 2013 The Jew Who Feeds Muslims Yank Barry was born on the January 29th 1948 in Montreal, Canada. The world renowned philanthropist along with his friend and partner Muhammad Ali created Global Village Champions Foundation in 1993 and has fed over 900,000,000 meals to the needy around the world. The organization is determined to achieve "A Day Without Hunger" by December 31st 2013 and to realize the vision of having provided one Billion meals to hungry people. They believe this achievement would foster an atmosphere of hope and charity for a brighter future for the world. In November 2012 Yank Barry visited a refugee camp in Pastrogor, Bulgaria and supplied needed food and hope to the camp where Iraqi, Palestinian and Syrian refugees found shelter. Goodwill Ambassadors of Global Village Champions are people such as Celine Dion, Michael Jordan, Buzz Oldrin, Gary US Bonds and Evander Holyfield but to name a few. In November 2012 Dr. Zdravko Georgiev and his wife Kristiana Valcheva joined the champions family. Valcheva along with four other Bulgarian nurses were jailed in 1999 in Lybia. They were routinely tortured and twice sentenced to death under the Kadhafi's regime. Dr. Zdravko Georgiev was also jailed but was released only to find out that his wife was sentenced to death the same day. Yank Barry, Manny Pacquiao and Evander Holyfield Since November 2012 Dr. Zdravko Georgiev and Kristiana Valcheva on several occasions have brought food, clothing, toys and medicine to the refugee camp on behalf of Global Village Champions Foundation. It is ironic that two ex-prisoners of Kadhafi and a Jew philanthropist lead the way in establishing that hungry people in need have no religious differences. They also demonstrated that humans can rise above their religious and personal beliefs to strive for a better world. For his humanitarian activities in many parts of the world Yank Barry was nominated for the this year’s Nobel Peace Prize award by Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao and Ilocos Sur Governor Luis “Chavit” Singson. Barry has been nominated also for his recent activities in Bulgaria by prof. Emil Markov – arbitrator at the Arbitration Court at The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
