  3. Ideas Backdrop/projection ideas. Set ideas The lighting vibe… I want one of the sets in this music video to be inspired by BRAVVN’s album artwork. Inspiration from another music video

Using inspiration from the photo pictured above as a set and the pictures from Beyonce’s single ladies I like the idea of having the lead artist as Beyonce and two other dancers next to her to give a performance aspect to the video. I think this is engaging and fun by connecting the audience through a performance. The colour theme would also work well with the shots described on the previous slide however, if there is too much of the same colour theme then alternatively, this dance shot could look cool against another background a projection or we could dress the set with another theme.

  5. Ideas Taking inspiration from the album cover again I want to incorporate the glitter which is on her chest in another set. I liked the vibe of these outfits as an inspiration for my music video The fancy outfits pictures left inspired me to think about chandeliers. I like the idea of birds eye angle shots from the top of a chandelier to show someone dancing/ singing looking up at the camera underneath. I want to show an expensive look especially with the fancy glittery dresses pictured. Example of a high angle shot which we created in our lip sync workshop.

  6. Ideas I want to use influences from the music video ‘before you go’ by Lewis Capaldi. I like the ideas of montages which feature in this video and I would want to show this interjecting between shots of the artist singing. This would show some narrative to the video. I want this to be natural and representing the memories so be a montage look.

  8. The intro • I want to show each different set on screens during the intro for the different beats in the instrumental section.

  9. Ideas • I want to create a low angle shot where the artist is sitting on a ledge/wall/platform which is shown in Arrdee’soliver twist music video. I think this is a common feature of this style of music videos I have seen and I think it is engaging when the artist looks directly down the lens saying the words to the viewer. We could put a projection behind the singer or have them outside against a wall.

  10. I want to show a group setting in one of the shots of the music video. I want to show a fun environment where the artist is having fun at a party and enjoying themselves because I think that watching people having fun is engaging to an audience.

  11. I like the idea of the artist getting out of his car and walking towards the camera as we track away from the artist. I would put this mostly in the start of the music video during the instrumental section with a mix of slowmo/reversed shots and sped up shots. This is a typical feature of this genre of music’s videos and I think it would meet the target audience successfully. (We could ask to use Luke’s car for this shot). I want to use glitch transitions for this moment. This is a stereotypical feature of this style of music’s videos.

  12. I want to show a photo shoot with the artist posing. I also think we can use this moment to get a birds eye shot of the artist sitting on the floor. I want to experiment with transitions between different outfits in this moment. I think for the birds eye view shot we can show a cool floor pattern.

  14. I want to show a band setting with a performance vibe similar to the ‘I bet she looks good on the dancefloor’ music video. The song starts with a long instrumental section where I would want to show the band but have the singer not in shot and then walk into shot when they begin singing.

  15. During the long instrumental section at the start I want to have interjecting images of the band walking through a street at night in a candid way having fun. These will create flashing images which will happen again at the end of the video during the instrumental sections. I want to show the bands’ image as fun and comfortable as a group together.

  16. During the vocal parts I want to show the band in the performance and also in rehearsal through an old camera to make it look like its been recorded by one of the band members. I want to show the fun dynamic between the group and I want them to have high energy giving off a positive vibe.

  17. I want to show each group member indivitually against a plane background. I want to show a close up tracking of each of their faces to show them all giving off a ’mug shot vibe.’ I want to show each member of the band to be as important as the singer and then show a wide shot of them all which they then ‘explode’ into energetic movements.

  19. I want one of the shots to be of the singer with her band in a field similar to the vibe of the video below from Rex person’s project youtube.

  20. I would like another of the shots to be shot with the artist lying in water with flowers whilst lip syncing to the lyrics.

  21. I think that the beginning of the song gives a ‘dreamlike’ aesthetic vibe. I want one of the sets to be an aesthetic room with dream catchers and LED lighting. I want tos how close ups of the room and then reveal the artist sitting on her bed and then as she falls backwards there is an action match to her lying in the bath/field.

  22. In the second chorus she is talking about her love interest. I want to show the couple meeting across a room with a crowd of people and show the chemistry between them. This will show some narrative.

  23. After the second chorus I want to pan the camera around from the first scene to show the love interest sitting in her room talking to her smiling and looking happy to show some narrative of them being together.
