  1. Femoral Neck Fracture of Hip - A Quick Guide Femoral neck fractures are common types of hip fractures that can occur in people of all age groups, especially young adults and the elderly. The neck of the femur is the ball portion of the hip joint that fits the pelvic socket. Trauma like car accidents, contact sports injuries, and falls are among the commonest causes of femoral neck fractures. These are the type of intracapsular fractures. This means they involve capsules that contain lubricating fluid of the joint. These types of fractures most often require surgical intervention for that treatment and that may also involve the use of Orthopaedic Trauma Implants.
