Hence, the development of cold storage in the country has an important role in reducing the wastages of perishable commodities and providing remunerative prices to the growers and making available farm products to the consumers at competitive and affordable prices. Further, the farmers are also now habituated to store their commodities in cold storage to avoid quality and quantitative losses.
