  1. Daily habits that will keep your heart healthy According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases are one of the most prevalent illnesses and the leading cause of death globally (WHO). While older persons are more likely to have heart issues, young people have recently seen an increase in heart attack and cardiac arrest instances. The secret to keeping your heart healthy and pumping properly is prevention. Adopting heart-healthy practices can significantly alter your life.

  2. Tips to keep your heart strong are- It’s important to make physical activity and regular exercise a daily part of life. As such, the heart is a muscle and needs to be consistently worked out for its best productivity by it. Once more, maintaining a balanced diet is crucial. Because food is both medication and a source of energy for the body. Building meals around whole grains, fruits, and vegetables while rounding out your diet with low- fat dairy, chicken, fish, and nuts is the key to eating well for your heart. Red meat, processed meals, and high-sodium foods should all be limited or avoided. Always remember to drink lots of water each day, and if you like the flavor of green tea, think about adding it. Certain foods and dietary supplements may aid in lowering cholesterol and high blood pressure while reducing inflammation. These include fiber, coenzyme Q10, fish oil, garlic, and artichokes. Keeping your blood pressure in check is important because hypertension leads to heart disease. Keeping good blood pressure can reduce strain on the heart and its vessels. “Limiting alcohol and avoiding tobacco smoke are also important when it comes to managing blood pressure, as well as managing stress”. Carrying too much weight on the body also leads to many diseases so it’s mandatory to lose weight if one needs to and maintain a healthy weight in a healthy body. Don’t be sleep deprived because sleep is essential for a healthy mind and healthy body. If one does not feel good, one should sleep for a nap of time to feel better. It’s good to meditate because meditation reduces stress levels, calms the mind, and helps the heart to pump blood in a better way. Even 10-minute meditation can make a difference in heart health. One should avoid tobacco and smoking as these build plaque or cholesterol in heart arteries contributing to cardiovascular disease. Cut down on salt intake because high salt intake leads to high blood pressure and that affects the heart causing CVD.

  3. Eat foods that are heart healthy and have less fat and sugar. Cut back on alcohol intake as it leads to abnormal heart rhythms and damages heart muscle. High-stress levels and mental tensions also lead to heart problems so it’s effective to keep stress under control. It’s better to check oneself to lead a sedentary lifestyle in the office and home. At the workplace, it is always advisable to take short breaks from work and take short walks to rejuvenate oneself and increase one’s productivity at work. The same goes for the home. It’s recommended to go for brisk walks near-by the house or in the garden area after finishing household chores to relax and unwind. Another super simple habit is to keep hydrated. Grab your water bottle and drink plenty of water not just when you feel thirsty but also after short intervals of time. Hydration is good and allows the heart to work with ease and grace. Last but not least, practice good dental hygiene as those who have gum or periodontal disease also have risk factors associated with the heart. A recent study has found that gum disease doubles the risk of heart disease hence, there is a correlation between gum health and heart health. FOLLOW THESE HABITS AND TIPS AND HAVE A HEART-HEALTHY DAY EACH DAY!
