  1. HOW PORTABLE TRANSPORT VENTILATOR IS A MUST FOR CRITICAL CARE TRANSPORTS

  2. During critical care transportation, it is a must to have portable transport ventilator in the ambulance or transport vehicle. This compact ventilator offers many facilities such as perfusion, oxygenation and ventilation. These functions are essential and must be provided to the patient when the patient is on the way from home to the hospital. To be specific, ventilation is of critical importance, because the patient requires continuous supply of oxygen when he or she is in critical condition. Portable ventilators reduce the risk of transport related adverse events. Many times, if the ambulances or transport vehicle doesn’t have a ventilator system, then the patient may suffer or face death due to lack of oxygen. But if the transport system contains a portable ventilator, then the patient will get pain relief and also may survive the critical condition as it takes time to reach the hospital from home. Another big advantage of this machine is that it manages the oxygen levels of the patient. The modern portable transport ventilators machines have got many built-in facilities that are automated. Depending upon the patient’s condition, the machine will automatically set the right oxygen flow rate for the patient.

  3. But what is a portable ventilator. It is a device that is used for artificially ventilating the lungs. Through this machine positive air pressure is used to pump fresh air into the patient’s lungs to ensure safety during the critical transport period. There are two types of portable ventilators namely machine-driven portable ventilators and user -driven portable ventilators. There are other forms of ventilators available in the market which have built-in sensor systems capable enough to detect the pressure of air flow and can also automatically control the oxygen flow rate.
