Empowering Change Through Education: Plumbing Training at Vadodara Central Jail. 25th Feb, 2025 Empowering Change Through Education: Plumbing Training at Vadodara Central Jail As part of the Finolex Industries Limited (FIL) and Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) CSR initiative, a special lecture was organized for inmates undergoing plumbing training at Vadodara Central Jail. This initiative, in collaboration with Government ITI Tarsali, Vadodara, and United Way of Baroda, aims to equip up to 80 inmates with comprehensive plumbing skills by March 2025. The session featured Mr. Arun Singh (FIL Vadodara Sales & Marketing) and Mr. Umesh (FIL Masar QA Engineering) as guest speakers. They shared valuable insights on: •Finolex range of pipes and fittings •Production processes and quality management •Market for plumbing products •FIL’s initiatives and schemes supporting plumbers •Career opportunities and the scope of work in plumbing The session was interactive and engaging, with inmates showing keen interest and asking thoughtful questions. The FIL team was delighted to address their queries, making it a truly enriching experience for all. Senior Citizen Day Celebration at Village Jawale, Satara. 25th Feb, 2025 Senior Citizen Day Celebration at Village Jawale, Satara Organized by the Rangoonwala collaboration with the Finolex Industries limited CSR Partner Mukul Madhav Foundation and the BAIF Team. The event was led by Mr. Namit Vanmali and his dedicated team, bringing together 75 senior citizens and other attendees for a day filled with joy, learning, and engagement. The session began with an introduction to the Mukul Madhav Foundation and Rangoonwala Foundation, followed by a prayer to set a positive and reflective tone. Various interactive games and activities were conducted, emphasizing mental health significance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in later years. Key Highlights of the Event: •Understanding the essentials of healthy aging •Benefits of maintaining well-being •Practical daily exercises and activities to promote an active and fulfilling life The senior citizens actively participated and thoroughly enjoyed the engaging activities. Many expressed their motivation to incorporate interactions, and meaningful conversations into their routines, fostering a healthier and happier lifestyle awareness and the physical and mental daily exercise, social Geriatric Health Camp at Satara. 1st March, 2025 A total of 202 patient Geriatric health screenings were conducted for 51 males and 151 females aged 45–80. The camp facilitated specialized care by referring 36 patients for dental treatment, 21 for ENT consultations, and 9 for psychiatric evaluation. Over 120 individuals received physiotherapy and orthopedic Furthermore, 22 cataract surgeries were scheduled, 27 individuals were provided comprehensive tests for blood sugar, hemoglobin, diabetes, and blood pressure were conducted. Being one of the pioneers and founder members of FICCI FLO Pune, I have seen this platform grow, evolve, and create lasting impact over the years. The 5th-year milestone was a proud moment, and now, celebrating 10 incredible years, fills my heart with gratitude and joy. FLO Pune has always been close to my heart, as well as to my team, the Mukul Madhav Foundation, and the incredible battalion that stands by me in this journey. This award is not just mine—it belongs to every past chairperson, EC member, friend, and supporter who has been part of this mission. Thank you to the organizers, jury, and everyone who has supported me along the way. Here’s to empowering, uplifting, and making a difference together! Dehu Ophthalmic Camp. 3rd March, 2025 Finolex Industries Ltd, in collaboration with its CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation, inaugurated an ophthalmic clinic at Gatha Mandir in Dehu Gaon in 2019, supported by Sassoon General Hospital. The clinic's activities were paused due to the pandemic but resumed on March 23, 2022, with awareness sessions conducted in the village to inform residents of the monthly OPD timings. Since resuming operations, the clinic has been conducting over 30 screenings per month and providing free cataract surgeries at Sassoon Hospital. To date 921 screenings have been completed. The screenings diagnose senior citizens with conditions such as cataract, pterygium, refractive errors, and other infections, with all treatments provided at no cost at Sassoon Hospital. Healing little hearts. 4th March, 2025 At Mukul Madhav Foundation, the CSR partner of Finolex Industries Ltd., we believe that every child deserves a healthy heart and a fighting chance at life. Through our decade-long partnership with Healing Little Hearts (HLH), UK, we continue to bring hope to children across India battling congenital heart disease—one of the leading causes of infant mortality worldwide. Since 2014, our collaboration has facilitated life-saving surgeries while also equipping local medical professionals with specialized training from HLH’s perfusionists, intensivists, and specialists. With over 200 surgeries completed, our heroes in scrubs are transforming lives, one heartbeat at a time. Imphal, Manipur – This time, a surgical camp was held in Imphal, where 6 to 7 critical pediatric heart surgeries have been completed. From Bangalore to Manipur to Vizag, each camp brings us closer to a future where no child is left untreated due to financial or geographic barriers. With the unwavering support of our partners and medical teams, we remain committed to restoring hope, one little heart at a time. Inauguration of Period Positive Holiday Homes. 5th March 2025 Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), proudly inaugurated three Period Positive Holiday Homes in Gadchiroli on 4th March 2025 with the funding support from 2 Corporates Hinduja Foundation and Finolex Industries Limited. The inauguration ceremony was attended by local villagers, the Sarpanch, community women, and Finolex Industries representative Mr. Abhishek Rai, who all came together to celebrate this important milestone. This initiative is part of Finolex Industries Limited (FIL) and Mukul Madhav Foundation’s ongoing commitment to improving menstrual health and hygiene for tribal and rural women in Maharashtra, particularly in regions like Palghar, Gadchiroli, and Ratnagiri. Since 2017, FIL/MMF has been working closely with Kherwadi Social Welfare Association (KSWA) to address critical social issues in these districts, including health, sanitation, and women’s empowerment. In Gadchiroli, menstruating women from certain tribal communities, such as the Madias and Gonds, continue to face the practice of banishment to 'Period Huts' or 'Kurma Ghars'—isolated, often unsafe structures at the edge of villages or forests. Women are expected to spend their menstruation period in these huts, sometimes alone or occasionally with another woman. This deeply rooted cultural practice exposes them to physical, emotional, and health-related risks. Period Positive Holiday Homes: FIL/MMF, in collaboration transforming this practice by creating safe, dignified, and comfortable ‘Period Positive Holiday Homes.’ These homes are equipped with: •Beds for comfortable rest •Toilets to ensure proper sanitation •Kitchenettes for cooking needs •Fans for ventilation •Solar lights to ensure safety at night •Sewing machines for tailoring classes, empowering women with vocational skills during their stay Impact So Far in Gadchiroli: •21 Period Positive Holiday Homes completed in Gadchiroli •450 Individual toilets constructed •100 Smokeless chulhas (stoves) provided for cleaner cooking environments with KSWA, has been Women day celebration. 8th March, 2025 Celebrating International Women’s Day at Bundelkhand - Uttar Pradesh. Under the MMF-WLP Project, funded by Finolex Industries Limited and its CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation, we proudly celebrated International Women’s Day with 60 inspiring women, recognizing their achievements and entrepreneurial spirit. The program was a beautiful celebration of empowerment, and progress in rural communities. The chief guest for the event was Mrs. Rahibai Popare, fondly known as the 'Seeds Mother,' whose work in promoting indigenous seed preservation has earned her admiration and respect across India. The event also witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests, including Ms. Pinky Rajpal, Chairperson of FLo Pune, Ms. Gauri Dhole Patil from FLo Pune, and representatives from Finolex Industries Limited, Ms. Saumi Banarjee and Ms. Vidya Farande. Mammogrphy camp. 8th-12th March, 2025 A mammography camp was conducted by Mukul Madhav Foundation and Finolex Industries Limited in collaboration with Bharati Hospital where a total of 23 screenings and testing were done. Tests included Consultancy, Pap Smear, Mammography, Sono Mammography, CBC (Complete Blood Count) and HIV, Dietician Consultation, Blood Pressure, Height, Weight Measurement. This is a monthly camp for women over the age of 35. From January 2024 to February 2025 total 920 screenings are done A Mammography Camp conducted at Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College and General Hospital, with a total of 22 women attending the screening camp. From March 8th,10th, 11th 12th March till date, a total of 64 screenings have been completed. Gynaecologists’ was successfully Empowering Women, Strengthening Communities through Awareness Sessions 8th March, 2025. On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Finolex Industries Limited and its CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), in collaboration with BAIF, organized a special event at Masar Village, Padra Block. FIL-MMF is actively working in five villages—Masar, Abhor, Gametha, Gavasad, and Kural—focusing development, and cattle development, directly and indirectly supporting 596 households. Lighting Up Villages with LED Streetlights: Kahanva Village – 120 LED streetlights installed & Lola Village – 40 LED streetlights installed. These projects, near the FIL Masar plant, aim to enhance safety, improve visibility, and uplift the quality of life for residents. Chhabria Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) proudly extends its monthly grocery support to Anjuman-I-Islam’s V.M. & D.M. PM Muslim Girls Orphanage in Pune. Home to 137 girls aged 5 to 18 years, this 100-year-old institution is dedicated to the education and social welfare of underprivileged Muslim girls. This initiative commitment to serving communities beyond barriers of caste, creed, race, or religion—true to the vision of our founder, who believed in uplifting society as a whole. As part of our ongoing mission to alleviate hunger and poverty, MMF has been supporting over 60+ institutions across Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Karnataka with essential supplies every month. A Journey of Compassion: Palliative Care at Ganga Prem Hospice, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand. 12th March, 2025 A Journey of Compassion: Palliative Care at Ganga Prem Hospice, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand What began with the donation of a van for patient care has evolved into a transformative initiative. Since May 2023, Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) have been steadfast in supporting Ganga Prem Hospice (GPH), a sanctuary for cancer patients in Rishikesh. •Phase 1: Bringing Care Home In May 2023, with CSR support from the Hinduja Foundation, a minivan was donated to enable home care services, ensuring patients receive essential medical attention at their doorstep. •Phase 2 & 3: Expanding Capacity In June 2024, Finolex and MMF facilitated the inauguration of the ground floor of a new palliative care wing, followed by the first floor in September 2024. Additionally, MMF connected a donor for ration kits and medicines to sustain patient care. •Phase 4: The Finolex Wing & Safety Upgrades On 28th November 2024, the second floor—The Finolex Wing—was expanding GPH’s capacity. Board of Director of FIL visits MMV . 17th March, 2025 Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF) was honored to host Mr. Saurabh Dhanorkar (MD, Finolex Industries), and Independent Directors Mr. Bhatt, Mr. Sarkar, and Mr. Khanna in Ratnagiri. Their visit included Mukul Madhav Vidyalaya (MMV), where they witnessed the impact of quality education on young minds. They also visited Anandi Anusuya Old Age Home in Pawas, where MMF provides physiotherapy sessions by our physiotherapist, and student visits from MMV as part of their social service exposure. At the Turtle Conservation Project in Gaonkhadi, they saw firsthand how MMF has taken the initiative to support turtle conservation through the Forest Department. They also had the special opportunity to release hatchlings into the sea. We briefed them about overall mission cerebral palsy, which started in 2015 at Satara under able guidance of our Managing Trustee. Dr Prateek also acquainted them about our journey and how we grew from Satara to Ratnagiri, Masar and Goa. We also informed them about conduction of biannual CP assessment camps where CP children from pan district come for the assessment to seek expert advice from the specialised team from Pune. We also informed them about the orthotic devices donation and assisted surgeries as well. They were also thrilled to hear the success stories of CP children. All of them were impressed by the work done by FIL/MMF and wished for the best way forward for our untiring efforts. Empowering Tribal Women Through Honey Beekeeping. 21st March, 2025 Continuing our commitment to fostering sustainable livelihoods, Finolex Industries Limited, CSR partner Mukul Madhav Foundation (MMF), has signed an agreement with the Maharashtra Khadi Gramodyog Mandal, Palghar District, to support tribal women farmers through a Honey Beekeeping Entrepreneurship Program. The signing ceremony was graced by Ms. Aarmeen Mogul Dordi, Chairperson of FICCI FLO Mumbai Chapter, Ms. Pinky Rajpal, from FICCI FLO Pune Chapter, Mr. Sanjay Patil, Head of Khadi Gramodyog Mandal Palghar District, and the MMF team . This collaboration will empower 30 tribal women in Palghar by providing them with essential Beekeeping Kits. Our Journey So Far: •June 2021: FIL/MMF, in collaboration with FICCI FLO Pune, initiated the honey beekeeping project in Bhimashankar, supporting 17 farmers. •May 2022: Expanded the initiative with FICCI FLO Pune and Mumbai, benefiting 47 farmers in Mokhada, Palghar. Women’s Well-Being Camp at Walawalkar Hospital. 22nd March, 2025 Finolex Inaugurate Walawalkar Hospital Finolex Industries and Mukul Madhav Foundation, committed to Health, Education, Sanitation, and Women Empowerment, reaffirm their dedication through the bi-annual Women’s Well-Being Camp at Walawalkar Hospital. The 17th edition of the camp was inaugurated today, March 22nd, as a heartfelt tribute to the invaluable contributions of women. The event was graced by Dr. Chandrashekhar (HOD, Community Physiotherapy Dept.), Dr. Deshmukh (HOD, Gynecology Dept.), Dr. Patil (Professor, Gynecology Dept.), Mrs. Shelar (Community Health Officer, Furus Village), Dr. Asawari Modak (Walawalkar Hospital), Mr. Saumya Chakrabarty ( Director Technical , Finolex Industries) , Mrs. Chakrabarty, and the FIL team. Dr. Chandrashekhar commended MMF’s impactful work in women’s empowerment and expressed gratitude for the initiative. Dr. Deshmukh emphasized the importance of HPV vaccination in preventing cervical cancer and thanked the organizers for facilitating mammography screenings, urging attendees to spread awareness for maximum outreach. The camp witnessed an active response with 25 registrations on the first day, and registrations for the next five days are already full, reflecting the community’s trust in this initiative. Jail support at satara. 22nd March, 2025 Finolex and Mukul Madhav Foundation, in collaboration with Mumbai College of Hotel Management & Catering, have organized a Fast Food Training Program for inmates at Satara Jail. Agreement for this initiative was signed on March 18, 2025, in the presence of Jail Superintendent Mr. Shamakant Shedge, Finolex & Mukul representative Mr. Santosh Shelar, and Mumbai Catering College representative Mr. Vinod Jadhav. The official inauguration of the training program took place on March 24, 2025, at Satara Jail. This 10-day course will train inmates in preparing various fast-food items, including Vada Pav, Misal Pav, Ragda Puri, Pani Puri, Kachori, Samosa, Upvas Patties, Onion Bhaji, Batata Bhaji, Gobi Manchurian, Hakka Noodles, Veg Momos, Burger, Pasta, and Pizza, Fried rice. This initiative aims to rehabilitate inmates by equipping them with valuable culinary skills, helping them reintegrate into mainstream society upon release. The inaugural event was attended by Jail Superintendent Mr. Shamakant Shedge, Senior Prison Officer Mr. Dnyaneshwar Dube and other jail administration staff. This collaboration aims to directly benefit 2,000 children across Meghalaya through a comprehensive Education Enhancement Program. A Letter of Intent (LOI) was officially signed today between the Government of Meghalaya and the partnering organizations, formalizing the commitment to this impactful initiative. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of distinguished guests, including Mr. Swapnil Tambe, IAS, Director of the Directorate of Education, Meghalaya, and Mrs. Joseph, Secretary of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), Meghalaya State. The Education Enhancement Program is designed to empower students and communities by integrating advanced learning techniques, community engagement strategies, and school training programs. The initiative also emphasizes the involvement of Gram Panchayats to foster active community participation in the educational process, ensuring sustainable impact at the grassroots level. Strengthening the Fight Against TB In a significant step towards eradicating tuberculosis in India, the Mukul Madhav Foundation was honored at the district level under the National Health Mission and National Tuberculosis Elimination Program (NTEP), Rajasthan, for its commendable role as a Nikshay Mitra in Jaipur for the year 2024-25.
