  1. Is a Garage Flood Light Right for Your Space? Garage Flood Lights are better choice than standard lights for Commercial Areas Debating between standard lights and garage flood light models for a commercial space? Both types of lighting make excellent choices for enhancing safety and security while delivering peace of mind. A garage flood light or an array of them, however, can be the superior choice in certain circumstances. Here are just a few of the occasions when a garage flood light on its own or used in conjunction with standard ceiling lights in a garage can make good sense: Especially dark areas –Enclosed garages and parking lots can have nooks, crannies and corners that just don’t get enough light from standard ceiling garage lights. If providing extra illumination for driver and pedestrian safety is a concern, placing a garage flood light in such an area can deliver the focused light required. High traffic areas – Indoor garages are generally designed to have reasonably low light conditions. That said, however, high traffic areas can be of particular concern for slips, trips and falls. Pointing an array of garage flood lights in high traffic areas can reduce potential hazards. Entry and exit points – Providing extra illumination for staircases, elevators and entries and exits to a garage can be smart for enhancing safety and security both. The right garage flood light can help make these features stand out to users, which can enhance safety for those driving and walking through alike. In addition, strong lighting quality can serve as a crime deterrent in parking areas. Indoor garages tend to benefit from a hybrid configuration of LED lights. Standard low-profile ceiling lights tend to work best in most locations by providing illumination that isn’t overpowering. There are some areas in a garage, however, where brighter and more focused light is essential. Adding LED garage flood light fixtures to especially dark area, high traffic areas and points of interest can enhance safety, security and peace of mind. When selecting light, LED is the smart choice to make because this type of lighting is low maintenance, has a low operational cost and tends to be very durable.
