  1. Social Media Round up – March A whole lot of new stuff was introduced in the world of social media this March. To keep up with the latest trends (if you aren’t already on board), read on… YouTube Has Launched Its Own Paid Streaming Service! It was about time YouTube introduced the YouTube TV. This new feature offers live TV streaming from channels like ABC, CBS, FOX etc. along with channels from local networks (US only). Now users can watch live TV on the go on their mobile, desktop, tablet etc. The YouTube TV membership gives you six accounts to add and a cloud DVR with unlimited storage for recording up to 9 months. What’s even cooler is the fact that membership is $35 per month! Yes, you read that right. Also, channels can be added with an additional charge. However, this feature of YouTube is available only in the US for now but it is soon going to roll out in other countries as well. So stay tuned. Whatsapp Will Keep Its Original Text Status Update After all!Yes, that’s right. Last month we updated you about how the Whatsapp’s new story feature was introduced. But looks like it didn’t go down well with the users. After the overwhelming feedback for its Snapchat-like story feature, Whatsapp has been forced to backpedal and bring back its original text status feature. Hence the app will soon roll out a “text version” of About Status to both Android and IOS users. Now users can add text statuses to their profiles in About section. Statutes of friends can be viewed once you start a new chat or by looking at group info. This feature is still being built though. So we will have to wait for it to roll out to update our status just like old times! 360 degrees Live Streaming On Facebook. Facebook is always one step ahead in the fast-paced world of technology. Forget the boring live videos! Jump on board with the 360 degrees Facebook live streaming- provided you have the equipment to film a 360 video. This feature works on Facebook’s existing live video platform which allows you to

  2. broadcast in 1080p and 30 fps for a maximum streaming time of 2 hours. However, the recommended minimum downlink for a smooth 360 broadcast is 4mbps. This feature works best with the new 2017 Samsung Gear 360, or the Insta360 Nano (for iPhone) and Air360 (for Android). So what are you waiting for? Go on and stream it Live y’all! Facebook Announces Snapchat-Like Stories In Their Main App. We saw that, didn’t we? So here it is finally! Facebook Stories…nothing new, nothing original, just a clone of Snapchat’s patent feature. Considering it is Facebook we are talking about, we were expecting something new and more interesting. The question on everybody’s mind right now is –“Why did Facebook copy Snapchat’s functions?” the answer to this is – “because it works!’ Stories work and attract a lot of engagement as we have seen in the case of Snapchat, Instagram, and Whatsapp. Also considering Facebook’s user base is much wider than that of Snapchat and the other powerhouses, it is likely this new feature will gain more audience on Facebook. The most attractive thing about this new feature is that Facebook allows ‘Reactive filters’ which include popular movies like Guardians of the Galaxy and the likes which allow users to take pictures with Baby Groot (now, who wouldn’t want that?)! In addition to the Stories feature (with some awesome effects), there is also the new option for direct messages where you can send a direct snap/message to a friend who can replay it and/or write a reply after which the message disappears. Sounds familiar right? Yes. It is not just the Stories update, but Facebook is hitting all of the Snapchats functions (except Discover...at least till now). If Facebook continues to connect with a diverse audience with these new advanced tools and options, it will serve a significant dent in Snapchat’s popularity and unique value. The usage rate is obviously expected to soar high. Considering the recent statistics of Snapchat and Instagram, Facebook has 450 million users, which means all the more engagement among its user base. Now that’s a target Facebook can easily reach don’t you think so? All SMO agency in delhi are works better.
