The stock market is an important part of the global economy, it affords companies and investors access to a transaction of capital for a certain amount of legal ownership. The stock market can be called as the equity market, where stocks can be described in various other ways. One common name can be the country where the stock is contained. If you are investing in the US stock market you are already participating in the global stock market. Other important points Before going in detail we need to know about the following positions and its importance in the Stock market.

The broker acts as a mediator between the investor and the stock exchange. ⚫Stock Analysts- these are the researchers who rate the security as buy, sell or hold. Their research is circulated between parties and clients. They then decide on whether to buy or sell the stock. ⚫Traders-buy and sell financial securities on behalf of the company or a client. ⚫Investment Bankers-is a person who works particularly for an institution and other entities or individual person who works for a bigger bank in a particular division. ⚫Portfolio Managers-these are professional investors who work with collections of securities and portfolios for clients. All the companies use portfolio managers to strategize and make vital decisions for the money they have. Main international markets ⚫Asia- in Asia the main indexes are Hang Seng in Hong Kong, Mumbai Sensex in India, the Shanghai Composite in China, and Nikkei in Japan. It is interesting to know that the third-largest stock exchange in the world is Japan's Tokyo Stock Exchange. China has two large stock exchange and these are the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. ⚫London- London stock exchange is located in London, England. London Stock Exchange in 2018, had a market capitalization of US$4.59 trillion. It is one of the oldest stock exchanges, which was founded in 1571.
