  1. Netball Shooting Techniques: Be Better at the Game netballcoach.tv/ Shooting is the only one way in the game to accumulate points in netball; therefore it is very important to master the art of hitting the net and scoring maximum points. Netball Shooting Techniquesinvolve three major skills - control, accuracy and technique, while practising drills that improve those skills are necessary for any team to be successful. Below is a list of some of the best netball shooting drills for 1 or more players. Here are 3 Netball Shooting Drills for You to Practice 1. Solo Shooting Drill –This is the netball drill that focuses on technique, can completed with only one shooter one ball and a netball post. The player should stand feet shoulder width apart, holding the ball predominantly with the shooting hand and supporting it with the second one. With arms stretched upwards and elbows almost touching the ears, the player’s arms should bend at the elbow behind the head and that then shoot. You can repeat the drill for all angles on the court 2. Partner Shooting –The drill is performed by two players, one ball, one post and 10 cones. Each cone is to be lined up at various points and the player who is shooting should be timed to see how long it takes to make a shot. The feeder will then rebound the ball; each time the shooter attempts a basket. In this drill the shooter can move on only when the shot is made from the given position.

  2. 3. Race Shooting –Each player in this shooting drill lines up at the top of the court; there is a ball in the hands of player one and tow and the goal is to make the shot before the opponent. Player one will make the first shot and if it is a basket player two is out. However if the shot doesn’t go in for player and player one is out until a shot is made. The drill continues until one person is left. These three shooting drills are the beginners as well as those with some experience in the game. Drills and exercises are a part of the game, making you better with the game and strategies each day.
