  2. About Gastritis in canines causes gastrointestinal lining inflammation. The ailment can be acute or chronic based on the inflammatory condition of the stomach lining. Let's check out possible symptoms of gastritis in dogs:

  3. 1.Onset Vomiting In Acute Gastritis, yellowish vomiting with foamy bile may occur. Inflammation in the stomach causes vomiting due to dietary indiscretion, toxins, fungi, etc.

  4. 2.Anorexia In Chronic Gastritis, pets suffer from anorexia that may worsen over time. Reduced appetite is observed, leading to weight loss and GI ulceration.

  5. 3.Reduced Activity Level Lethargy, dehydration, or increased thrust is noticeable in the pet. Weakness is observed due to electrolyte imbalance; signs of depression are also witnessed

  6. 4.Abdominal Discomfort Abdominal pain results in curved or hunching of the back to ease the discomfort. In Chronic Gastritis, tarry or black tools are seen due to bleeding from the intestinal tract.

  7. 5.Diarrhea Diarrhea with bloody stool or vomit is a common sign in both acute & chronic gastritis The fur coat loses shine; becomes matted, resulting in a poor hair coat.
