  1. How to Control Flood from Ruining your Property?

  2. The global warming is on its full pace and climate change is taking long steps to affect the environment. Due to this climate change, flood has become common and is ruining people life and properties.

  3. Flood Barrier to Prevent your Property from the Flood If you want to prevent your property from the flood, then you will have to find the flood barriers and insulations to install at your premise. However, there are several other measures to look for while building or repairing your property for best prevention. If your home is in a flood-prone area, then you need to spend money on the protective measures to minimize the risk of life and financial loss.

  4. Types of Protection Measures During the construction or repair of your property, you can opt for two types of protection measures- flood resistance and flood resilience. Resistive option controls water to come inside the building while resilience minimizes the damage occurs if water gets inside.

  5. Stop Water Coming Inside with Resistant Measures To make your property water resistant, you can fix removable barriers and temporary seals to doors and windows. You should also fit one-way valves in toilets and drainage pipes to prevent sewage to come back into your property during flood.

  6. Minimize Damage with Resilience Measures What if the flood is becoming the serious and the water level has been reached above the one meter? You cannot stop water anymore to enter inside your home. So, this is the time to look for flood resilience measures which can minimize the damage. For this, you need to make the flooring of concrete and replace the carpet with tiles. You can also use plastic and steel as alternative materials in the kitchen and bathroom. Lime plaster can best prevent your property from heavy damage. You should also set the electrical points and items always above the average flood level to avoid any severe damage.

  7. Temporary & Permanent Barriers as another Protective Measure You can also choose temporary or permanent flood barriers and install in your property for the protection. Temporary barriers are good enough for flood prevention, but they have huge labor cost and take time in the installation. Permanent barriers on the other side cost reasonable with the rare need of deployment. You need the professional help once during the installation and labor cost is also one time. Some fences need to be deployed after getting the flood warning. They are either sealed automatically or need the human intervention in the deployment. Permanent barriers are not only easy in deployment, but can also be retracted easily.

  8. Gramm Flood Barriers- Temporary and Permanent Temporary flood protection provided by embedding one or more boards below ground surface between post lengths. Rapid assembly of panels by fixing relevant height posts to embedded base via steel inserts and slotting boards into post grooves and tightening the top clamp. Permanent barriers can be assembled using ‘No Nails’ adhesive.
