Sistemul perceptiv trebuie sa determine pozitia obiectului (localizarea) si sa recunoasca ceea ce este. • Asocierea: combinarea rezultatelor activitatii diferitelor arii corticale care proceseaza diferit informatii fundamentale (forma si culoare) pentru a determina perceptia coerenta a unui obiect. • Stadii ale recunoasterii: • linii si margini; • Compararea cu diferite categorii de obiecte inmagazinate in memoria vizuala

Teoria integrarii trasaturilor (Anne Treisman, 1986) • In stadiul preatentional sunt percepute forma si culoarea • In stadiul atentional, atentia concentrata este folosita pentru identificarea corecta si lipirea trasaturilor unele de altele intr-un tot integrat Limite/dificultati: teoria controlului dinamic (Di Lollo, Kawahara, Suvic si Visser, 2001) Exista un sistem maleabil, al carui componente pot fi rapid reconfigurate pentru a realiza sarcini diferite in momente diferite

Geoni- recunoasterea obiectelor naturale si procesarea descendenta • Formele trasaturilor obiectelor naturale sunt mai complexe decat liniile si curbele: seamana cu formele geometrice complexe • Acestea sunt capabile de recombinare pentru a reproduce forma oricarui obiect recognoscibil • Trasaturile obiectelor sunt reconstruite din trasaturi mai primitive (linii si curbe)- singurele informatii disponibile sistemului in primele stadii ale recunoasterii • Geoni= ioni geometrici; • Arce, cilindrii, conuri paralelipipede si prisme

  15. Geoni • 36 geoni pot fi combinati in functie de un numar redus de relatii spatiale; • Suficient pentru a descrie formele tuturor obiectelor pe care le pot recunoaste • 2 sau 3 geoni pot crea 50.000 obiecte
