  2. What is HFES? Human Factors and Ergonomics Society is an interdisciplinary organization of professional people involved in the human factors field. The Society promotes the discovery and exchange of knowledge concerning the characteristics of human beings that are applicable to the design of systems and devices of all kinds.   12. Cargill Plant Tour Cargill Meat Solutions is located in Hazelton, PA. They employ 1,000 people and prepare over 166M lbs. of meat per year! • Ergonomics issues include NIOSH and OSHA regulations • Lifting and repetitive motions • Recent 50% annual injury reduction!
