  3. Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures Swivel Joints that are intended for piping applications . Be sure to contact Dixon prior to ordering Swivel Joints intended as Hose Swivels.

  4. The main function of a Swivel Joint is to alleviate torque and misalignment in a piping system. • The secondary function of a Swivel Joint is to aid the rotational need of the system.

  5. Dixon Valve & Coupling Company manufactures two different types of Swivel Joints. • O-Ring design • V-Ring design

  6. O-Ring Style • Slightly lower working pressures than the V-Ring style of Swivel Joints. • A bit easier to rotate than V-Ring type.

  7. O-Ring Style Swivel Joints Common Sizes: 1” ID through 4” ID Common Materials: Aluminum, Brass, Iron, Carbon Steel, and Stainless Steel. Common End Configurations: Female x Female, Flange x Flange, Tank Truck Flange x Tank Truck Flange.

  9. V-Ring Style Swivel Joints • Slightly higher working pressures attainable than in O-Ring Style. • A bit “stiffer” in rotation than O-Ring Style.

  10. V-Ring Style Swivel Joints Common Sizes:2” ID through 8” ID Common Materials:Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, and “limited” Aluminum. Common End Configurations:Female x Female, Flange x Flange, and Weld End x Weld End (WxW in Style 20 only)

  12. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 10 Joint offers three(3) planes of rotation, joined by two (2) 90 degree elbows, and having straight port ends.

  13. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 20 Joint offers a single plane of rotation, with straight ends.

  14. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 30 Joint offers a single plane of rotation, with one straight end, and one 90 degree end.

  15. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 40 Joint offers a single plane of rotation with both ends at 90 degrees.

  16. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 50 Joint offers two (2) planes of rotation, joined in the center by a 90 degree elbow, and having a straight port end by a 90 degree end.

  17. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 60 Joint offers two (2) planes of rotation on a single 90 degree elbow.

  18. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 70 Joint offers two (2) planes of rotation, connected in the center with a 90 degree elbow, and featuring a 90 degree elbow at each end.

  19. Swivel Joint Styles The Style 80 Joint offers three (3) planes of rotation, joined together by two (2) 90 degree elbows. One end is a straight port, the opposite end being a 90 degree angle port.
