  6. Updates (Staff) • Join button – deployment done, still working out email bugs. Mailing lists for groups should be fully operational next week • Tri-fold brochure – final corrections OK’ed by volunteers, will be sending to printer shortly. Staff needs an initial list of conferences you’d like it to be sent to for planning • Query about course work for CLOUD 2013 – staff sent initial data to LJ, waiting on follow up • Request for CLOSER MOU – still trying to get it on our side, but it’s buried in another request. • Cloud Magazine MOU has been signed, CS Pubs chair will be handling EiC search after board meetings • Template for newsletter should be mocked up on web in the next week or so as part of an overall simple template for future STCs • STCs have been approved to be part of the Emerging Products and Services Committee (EPSC). STC chairs now report up through the STC Governance Chair, Martin Arlitt, who in turn reports up to Jim Cortada, head of EPSC. They are doing revisions to the handbook and hope to release it and define associated processes for STCs shortly.

Same as Previous weeks: • Waiting on Vol - Access issue by Mooney – waiting to determine if Mooney’s issues are more than just hers (Feb 1) • Waiting on Staff - 9x11 flyer – also in the hands of staff, but because of the additional work with the tri-fold this will be delayed (Jan 11) • Waiting on Vol - Marketing plan – still waiting on a clear, focused goal on the volunteer side before continuing discussions, timing flexible (Dec 15)

CS Cloud Computing STC computer.org/cc Charter • Provide IT and Enterprise Management with comprehensive, vendor-neutral information that will demystify major cloud-related concerns (such as ensuring adequate security, framing service level agreements, impacts on staffing, and enabling rapid scaling up and down). Goals Objectives • 1. Develop and disseminate CC knowledge • Develop CC educational products • Record and publish video products • Develop/ promote CC standards • Design a CC newsletter • Develop a CC Guide • Coordinate provision of CC resources • Provide TCS to CC conferences • Establish online presence and social online presence • 2. Facilitate CC information exchange • Collaborate with publications, and CS TCs and STCs, partnering societies, industry and academia • 3. Enable efficient access to CC information • Maintain CC content on STC site • Request development/reuse of an efficient search engine • Contribute content to IEEE CCI portal, social media accounts, and Computing Now • 4. Provide CC technical guidance • Respond to requests for guidance • Collaborate with industry for a • Create best practices, based on CC standards • + Branding, marketing, communication

Online Presence Leaders Chris Miyachi EltijaniOsman Webmaster Dade Ronan • Set up Social networks have been set • Made a first post on facebook and twitter from text Irene sent us • Still need final approval from group to post to IEEE CCI. • Content: • Make 3-5 posts per week • Facebook and LinkedIn could be almost identical, Twitter must be shorter • Need person to be in charge of one site (3 volunteers) • Create private post first, review, then post on IEEE CCI (we are managers of their social network site).
