  1. Over the Rainbows By Joey and Johnny http://www.dreamdreamsbigandsmall.com/i//rainbows_com_1.jpg

  2. INTRODUCTION In this presentation you will learn all about rainbows. By the end of it you should know how they form, what they look like, and even what people believe about them. We will also tell you how you can make your own rainbow! Hope you enjoy! http://www.psdgraphics.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/rainbow-colors.jpg

  3. Basic Facts A rainbow’s visible colors are Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet. From an airplane a rainbow appears to be a circle. A way to remember the seven colors is ROY G. BIV. The sun is always behind you when you look at a rainbow. A rainbow is also known as a spectrum. No two people can see the same rainbow. The raindrops are always moving so the actual rainbow appears to be moving too. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/c/c9/Rainbow-diagram-ROYGBIV.svg/800px-Rainbow-diagram-ROYGBIV.svg.png

  4. Man-made rainbow Rainbow/ Effect from water and light Water drop How to make a man-made rainbow. First, you need a flashlight and a dark wall with a few water droplets on it. Shine the white light on the wall and you have a rainbow. Flashlight/ Sunlight

  5. Fun Facts • According to Silesia, only a nude man can find the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. • Isaac Newton discovered the seven distinct colors of the visible spectrum. • Rainbows are God’s promise according to Genesis 9. • The true shape of a rainbow is a circle. • The brightest rainbows are formed when water-droplets are large. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.mauitiedye.com/images/patterns-colors/rainbow-swirls-black-2.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.mauitiedye.com/patterns_colors.html&usg=__i_s2meG2M0mzHWT1Ne4mvLYiwrg=&h=450&w=474&sz=30&hl=en&start=4&zoom=1&um=1&itbs=1&tbnid=6Ple8xPgygBu6M:&tbnh=122&tbnw=129&prev=/images%3Fq%3Drainbow%2Bpatterns%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26rls%3Dcom.microsoft:*:IE-SearchBox%26rlz%3D1I7ADBF_en%26tbs%3Disch:1

  6. White Light Light from the sun and other things appears to be white, but really it is filled with colors. If you want to be able to see the colors, you can put it through a prism. Water droplets act as the prism for rainbows. http://www.photoshop-dragon.com/Tutorials/Art/Images/psychedelic_backgrounds/cool_pattern.jpg

  7. Isaac Newton Isaac Newton discovered the 7 colors of the spectrum hidden in white light. He found that out by using a prism. He studied at Cambridge University in England. http://www.biographyonline.net/scientists/images/newton.jpg

  8. Conclusion We hope you enjoyed our PowerPoint and learned a bunch about rainbows. Rainbows are great things and we hope that you take the time to learn even more about them! http://farm1.static.flickr.com/78/189639434_fe2c424560.jpg
