  2. How do I find the factors of a given number? 6 I want to know all the factors of the number 6. I will make a factor rainbow to find out. The first thing I will do to start my rainbow is multiply the number by 1. 1 6 2 3 Next, I will think about number 2. Two times what is 6? I can now easily see the factors of 6. The factors of 6 are 1, 2, 3, and 6. Now I will think about number 3. Since 3 is already on the tree, I can stop here.
