MAUVEMultiplecoolingAparatus for UT and VELO Experiment Mission Result • SCADA panels following improvement of the system • 150+ panels created Diagnostic panels will help operators with control the cooling system. New alarm management with additional layer to simplify diagnostic. What’s new? • New diagnostic panels were introduced to this project • New alarm management panels were created • VELO detector temperatures panelswere created (variables will be link to DIP publication of detector) Diagnostic panels created for: - AA - AIR - DA - Field objects (OnOff, AnaDig, AnaDO…) • What did I learn? • How to create SCADA panels in WinCC OA • What is in Functional Analysis and Spec File • How works detector cooling system using CO2 2PACL and R404A • Createand update of SCADA panels • Update Window Tree for the project Internship Final Presentation - Arkadiusz Homa

  4. MAUVEMultiple coolingAparatus for UT and VELO Experiment Mission Reason NAMUR sensor was not compatible with DI card used in MAUVE project. Temporary connection of JB in Bld 153 was needed to perform first performance test before mounting it underground. Proximity sensors are located on pneumatic valves and on PCBs in manual valves MV1052. Connected elements: - pressure transmitters, - temperature transmitters, - proximity sensors, - carel valves, - elecrical heaters, - thermal switches. Result • All elements were connected and Junction Box was ready for tests • Proximity sensors were replaced and tested. MAUVEMultiplecoolingAparatus for UT and VELO Experiment Crystal Palace Mission Old relays were designed for 24 VDC, while in our case24 VACshould be used. • Order new relays for Danfoss valves • Updatespare parts list Reason Relays were not compatible for 24VAC contact, Danfoss valve was not properly controlled. Spare part list was prepared to know what elements are needed to buy for maintenance of cooling system. Quantity of parts in Crystal Palace was counted and saved in Excel file on DFS. Elements from control spare stock have also been added to the list.   7. DUMMY LOAD45kW Mission Dummy Load is a system to simulate the load for Baby DEMO CO2 cooling system. Unit will be equipped with three 15 kW heaters to imitate detector heating. • Dummy Load project Tasks • Create electrical schematics • Create P&ID • Cabinet wiring • Prepare Functional Analysis Result • Electrical schematics were created, and cabinet was wired by Cyril, Wojciech,Szymon and me. • First draft of Functional Analysis and Piping & Instrumentation Diagram.   9. Otheractivities Mission • Build setup for LUCASZ DESY virtualisation Reason The setup was needed to enable possibility of testing a connection with external systems. Metal plate was designed to keep the possibility to place it into cabinet in Bld153 in the future. Result • LUCASZ DESY virtualization was built on Schneider M580 • Connection of elements was tested and setup works First version had 8 slot backplane but it was replaced by 12 slot version to better reproduce LUCASZ system.
