  5. Background Knowledge 1 • If x is concentrated then x is present in a large amount • If something is concentrated then it is present in a large amount. • (ex.)Concentrated orange juice implies a large amount of orange is present in the juice.

  6. Background Knowledge 2 • If x is exposed to y, then x is affected in some way by y. • If someone is exposed to something then he/she is affected by it. • (ex.)If a human is exposed to high intensity gamma rays, then he develops skin lesions.
