  1. Founded in 1994, Rainforest Café is a tropical themed restaurant and gift shop • Known for its colorful jungle themed atmosphere, giant aquariums, animatronics, and vegetation. • The Rainforest Café also offers several educational tours throughout its store to help inform their guest about the Rainforest and conservation methods to help protect it. We would like to incorporate The Rainforest Café into the UNT bookstore and union by having a fun and exciting restaurant and shop that also brings awareness to the colleges of UNT. By doing this we will be able to inform students and future students about all of the programs UNT has to offer. For instance we will have….

We will have aquariums and a creek bed that is maintained by the College of Arts and Science • The Avesta restaurant will be incorporated into the store as the main restaurant that will reflect UNT’s strive for a green and healthy campus. • Music will be supplied by the College of Music and the 1 o clock band will be moved to a stage that will be located right outside of the restaurant. • Display windows will be updated once a week by students of the School of Merchandising and hospitality management. • The store will sell artwork made by students of the College of Visual Arts & Design. • Future students will be brought through the store as part of the UNT campus tour, where there will be a path you can follow that will show you the history of UNT.
