  2. Outline • Status in Chandrayaan-1 configuration • MIPA Status • Budgets (Mass, Power). • Action item addressed during progress meeting 2008-02-13

  3. MIPA status (Ch1 configuration) SARA FM (including SWIM - MIPA in Chandrayaan-1 configuration) completed, calibrated and delivered to ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) Bangalore, India. SWIM, CENA and DPU successfully integrated and tested on Chandrayaan-1 S/C.

  4. MIPA status (Ch1 configuration) SARA package integration on Chandrayaan 1 SWIM on C1 CENA DPU SWIM

  5. MIPA status (1/2) • DDM model delivered to IFSI (Feb. 2007) • Finalization of the mechanical interfaces with ELENA is on-going • Sensor mechanical design completed. • Latest data package delivered 2007-09-24 during D-ISRR-2. • Last EID-B update delivered 2007-12-20. • Funding confirmed

  6. MIPA status (2/2) • Since February 13 2008 progress meeting, most MIPA efforts regard the thermal design. • Decision to go for hot design was taken. Ti, macor and high temperature coating. • Thermal tests of the coatings are planned in Mercury solar simulation chamber in Bern mid June, and at ESTEC. • Manufacturing of STM starts mid May.

  7. MIPA Budgets Sensor flight configuration mass: 194g. 4g increase since progress meeting 2008-02-13 due to radiator re-design Electronics flight configuration mass: neutral Power: neutral since D-ISSR (SWIM FM based)
