KBO will send an email to all families simultaneously with rosters listed. • Roster size will typically be a minimum of 12 with the maximum number to de determined by the team coaches. Coach’s discretion. Evaluations need to solidify that a player is skilled enough so as not to be a hazard to himself or his teammates from a safety standpoint. Also, see rule #7. Teams are based almost exclusively by grade level with the exception being if someone is old for their grade and too old for the tournament team, he’d then need to play up with age. Otherwise, grade level only. • Ideally, each player gets in the starting lineup in at least every other game, and all players should participate in approx. ½ of the team’s total number of innings for the season. Exceptions may be allowed, at the coach discretion, based upon attitude, discipline, or absences. This should be communicated to the player and if necessary, the parent(s). • All Coaches/Teams are required to conduct a mandatory parent’s meeting to review schedule, expectations, fees, and pitching guidelines. Missing tournaments for other sport teams will not be allowed. Kimberly Baseball First. 5. Pitching schedules must be communicated with league coaches and parents. Coaches will adhere to all tournament pitching requirements. In all cases, coaches are to error on the side of caution, acting in the best interest and safety of the pitcher. (*Pitch counts and mandatory rest are beginning to be discussed)

  9. 2019 Travel Team Guidelines 6. **All parents are required to volunteer at the Kimberly Tournament. • Teams are permitted to participate in the following number of tournaments which includes participation in the Kimberly Sunset Classic • 8 year olds-Tournaments depend on numbers but each player will aim to play 2 tournaments for sure and up to 3-4. 9 & 10 year old team –4-5 tournaments, 11 & 12 year old teams – 5 Tournaments, *12-year old teams will play at Helfaer Field in Milwaukee at conclusion of their season. This event does not count as a tournament. 13 & 14-year old teams-13s League + 2 tournaments including Bob Boots….14s League + 2 tourneys…..Travel-only teams 7 tourneys • Uniform distribution and management will be designated to a team manager. 10. The high school head baseball coach will be responsible for selecting team coaches, and enforcing compliance measures if necessary. Coaching applications are due on or before December 1st each year with coach selections to be recommended/communicated to KBO Board of Directors by January 1st. 11. Teams failing to comply with these guidelines will forfeit KBO sponsorship, tournament funding, use of equipment. Note: The Travel Team Committee’s recommendation to the KBO is to field two (2) teams at each level 9-12, with teams being split equally at each level. The 13 and 14 year old levels will each field one team with consideration to have two teams if numbers, talent, and coaching permits. Each team would aim to carry twelve (12) players, but this is dependent on the numbers for each age group. Tournament registration will consist of the number of tournaments allotted each age group and will be planned accordingly for each level.
