Core Knowledge Implementation Timeline • 2012-2013 • ASCS aligned the Core Knowledge Sequence with State of Michigan Standards and Common Core Standards for: • Math • Science • Social Studies • 2013-2014 • ASCS receives official “Friend of Core Knowledge” status. • ASCS aligns the Core Knowledge Sequence with State of Michigan Standards and Common Core Standards for: • English Language Arts • ASCS adopts the Ignatius Press Faith and Life series for deeper catechesis 2014-2015 ASCS seeks to attain “Visitation Site” status with The Core Knowledge Foundation, receiving their endorsement as a national school of distinction.

  43. Michigan Concussion Law • Parents must review concussion flyer and sign acknowledgement form • Any student athlete • Any student taking PE • If head injury occurs: • Students are unable to return to school without a doctors note • School must keep records until 25
