  2. UNDAF Results Matrix Feedback from country teams - • Contributes to harmonised formulation of agency programmes • Well worth the time and resources to complete the matrix in collaboration with partners • Assists in identifying common results where joint programmes can be developed

  5. Where are we? • Revised Guidance finalized in December 2003 • Endorsed by Programme and Management Groups (i.e. all UNDG members) • Full commitment from UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF and WFP • GN sent to all UNDG agencies through UNDG Chair

  6. Main elements of revised GN: • Centrality of UNDAF Results Matrix • Provides logical basis for decision making on joint programmes on the basis of shared common results and common partners.

  7. Main elements of revised GN: • Distinction b/w joint programming & joint programmes. • Clarifying main elements of a Joint Programme. • Operational guidance, including three fund management options: parallel, pooled and pass-through OR a combination of options. • Standard Legal Agreements for pooling and pass-through

Next Steps • Internalization of guidance is under way by UNDP, UNFPA, UNICEF, WFP • Further integration of Guidance on CCA/UNDAF, Harmonized Tools and Joint Programming, and of Support to UNCTs • Inter-agency support to ensure coordinated and unified response to UNCTs is being set up • Implementation of revised Guidance will be monitored in 2004 and reviewed in 2005
