  2. Art 16 Meeting of the Parties Parties shall… Establish a programme of work, including projects to be carried out jointly under this Protocol and the Convention, and set up any bodies needed to implement this programme of work;

  3. Activities deriving from Protocol’s obligations • Art. 7 para. 5: establish guidelines for progress report • Art. 11: international cooperation • Art. 16: guidelines and recommendations promoting the implementation of the Protocol

  4. Joint and coordinated international action • Development of commonly agreed targets • Development of indicators • Establishment of surveillance and early-warning systems, contingency plans and response capacities • Mutual assistance in responding to outbreaks and incidents of water-related disease • Development of integrated information systems • Notification • Exchange of information on awareness raising

  5. International support for national action • Preparation of water management plans • Improved formulation of projets and effective execution • Establishment of surveillance and early-warning systems, contingency plans and response capacities • Education and training • Techniques for preventing, controlling and reducing water-related disease • Operation of networks to monitor and assess the provision and quality of water-related services • Development of integrated information systems
