  3. Long Term Goal • Adopting 21st Century teaching approaches to enhance students appreciation of art and to build on their own skills and improve their control of material tools and techniques.

  4. Short Term Goals • Encouraging students to strive for improvement. • Work on their own and collaborate with others on projects. • Develop their creativity and imagination through questioning and more complex activities.

  5. I will provide the opportunities for students to discuss and share their ideas with me and others. I will demonstrate how they can handle the clay and use it to make what they have in their mind. I will arrange a clay activity in the outside area that will develop imaginations and expressions of students. Instructional Strategies and TasksClay work

  6. Demonstrations will be given and by giving the different coloured papers for pasting. I will ask the students to paste according to correct placement which will increase their higher order thinking. Students will produce collage work individually. Collage Work

  7. I will take the students to nursery where they can explore different colours and their shades. Shade cards of primary and secondary colours will be made in the class. I will provide them the concepts of primary, secondary and tertiary colours. Colours

  8. Solutions to Anticipated Challenges • Challenge • School may not be able to arrange clay or not available in the market. • Solution • In that case I will go for play dough which is easily available in the market.

  9. Solutions to Anticipated Challenges • Challenge • The head may not agree with my new approach. • Solution • I will share the curriculum with the head and tell about the positive aspects of this activity.

  10. Solutions to Anticipated Challenges • Challenge • The head may not give the permission to take the students outside the school premises or because of the city. • Solution • I will take the students to the school garden and farm area.
