  2. Symptoms For Men • Yellow,green& white discharge from penis. • Testicles start to swellandhurt. • Burningsensation of penis from urination. • Can take 30 days to occur. • Sometimes symptoms are mild or none. • Spreads to rectum causing anal itching.

  3. Symptoms for Women • Yellow , greenor white vaginal discharge. • Paininurinationin pelvic area. • Women may experience Pink-eye or conjunctivitis. • Irregular bleeding between periods may occur. • Vulvitisorswellingofthevulva. • Spottingmay happen after sexual intercourse.

  4. Causes • Gonorrhea infections are caused by bacteria. • It is transmitted through sexual intercourse. • Mother’s may spread to newborn babies. • 20 percent risk for heterosexual men. • A higher risk for homosexual men. • 60 - 80 percent risk for women.

  5. Prevention & Treatment • To prevent, abstain from sexual intercourse. • Usecondomsmore safely and correctly. • Get yourself and your partner tested. • Clean your genitals thoroughly and frequently. • Have long term relationships with spouse. • Get an injectable antibiotic of ceftriaxone.

  6. Dangers • Can lead to infertility of females. • You will smell like a fish. • You will experience abdominal pain. • Can lead to pelvic inflameddiseases. • Can lead to swollentesticles/rectum. • Can lead to having amiscarriage.
