Proposals for FE – Promoting the development of obs+data systems for Africa • FE + actors (AU, UNEP, UNDP, UNECA, WMO, Development Banks + Agencies…) • Joint statement on political relevance of obs+data systems for Africa • High-level congress in Africa on socio-economic value of data • Themes: Data policy; economic and social value; infrastructure; rescue; and capacity development • Comment on NEPAD Consolidated plan of action on Obs + data
