Documents for a Completed P25 Interface • Interface Overview – (normally as a TIA TSB – meaning not a “standard” document in the sense of having normative statements but would have informative statements).  It would also relate to the P25 SOR requirements. • Protocol Specifications – (a TIA 102 normative standard document) detailing messages, algorithms, parameter ranges, etc. Stawman Criteria for Completed P25 Interface

Documents for a P25 Interface – cont’d • Measurement Methods – (a TIA 102 normative standard document) providing step-by-step procedures on measurements associated with the interface. • Performance Recommendations – (a TIA 102 normative standard document) listing the minimum acceptable values for the parameters measured in Measurement Methods Stawman Criteria for Completed P25 Interface

Documents for a P25 Interface – cont’d • Conformance Test Procedures – (a TIA 102 normative standard document) describing how to ensure that equipment built for the interface conforms to the requirements of the Protocol Specifications, the Performance Recommendations, and to specific statements from the P25 SOR. • Interoperability Test Procedures – (a TIA 102 normative standard document) describing the test scenarios and expected outcomes to ensure that two pieces of equipment that are on either side of the P25 interface actually interoperate based on P25 standards. Criteria for a Mature P25 Interface • Documentation – The above set of documents would be available for the interface or there would have to be ample explanation why a specific document is not necessary • Review and Revision Process – The above set of documents may be undergoing improvements in the text by the P25 Committees to produce new versions of the documents (a typical process even for a completed standard) Stawman Criteria for Completed P25 Interface
