  2. Exercise 1 – Exploring RDA Find the instruction for creating authorized access points for persons. Instruction number: 9.19 - Constructing Access Points to Represent Persons 9.19.1 – Authorized Access Point RDA Module - Identifying persons etc.

  3. Exercise 2 – Exploring RDA Find one of the new elements added to RDA that will be useful for identifying a corporate body. Instruction number or element name: 11.8 Language 11.9 Address 11.10 Field of Activity 11.11 Corporate History The following elements were included in AACR2 but approached in a new way in RDA: 11.4 Date Associated ; 11.5 Associated Institution ; 11.7 Other Designation RDA Module - Identifying persons etc.

Exercise 5: Coding Attributes of Families 100Breithaupt(Family) 678LiboriusBreithaupt emigrated with his wife and son from Hesse (Germany) to Buffalo in 1844 and moved to the Kitchener-Waterloo area in 1861. Louis Jacob Breithaupt was a local industrialist, Mayor of Kitchener and area M.P.P. William Henry Breithaupt was an entrepreneur and professional engineer who worked on early public works projects and was also president of the Waterloo Historical Society.
