BookCategories Reference Section - it‘s not possible to take these booksawayfromthelibrary (youcanfindthem in thelower part ofthelibrary; journalsandthesesare alsoincluded in thiscategory); • Externalloanbooks– itispossible to borrowthemfor 30 days – this period canberenewedprovidedthere are no reservations on theborrowedmaterials; • Itemsforshort-term borrowing– 2 weeks (fiction in theCentral University Library).

8. How to look forbooks in ourlibraryandhow to findthem? BOOK NUMBER (wecallit ˝signatura“ in Czech )is a specialcodeofthebook. Thebooks are sortedandplaced on shelves by thesecodessothatyoucaneasilyfindthem. Booksforexternalloanare in thegallery. Books in the˝reference library“ canbeusedforyourstudyingonly in thelibrary. They are sorted by subjectandtheirbooknumbershavebeenmarked (strikedthrough) by a pink stripe.

9. To borrow a book in ourlibraryyouneedanISIC! (ISIC serves as yourlibrarymembercard). Youcan also use itforcopyingandprinting using a pre-paidcredit. (seeSelf-ServiceCopyingandPrintingbelow)

10. How many bookscanyouborrowandforhowlong? Youcanborrowup to10 items (books, documentsetc., altogetherfromallthelibrariesof Palacký University). Thebooks are lent usuallyfor 30 days. Youcanrenewthis period twice.

11. Important Information • Palacký University Library sends information (especially regarding reservations of books and the upcoming deadline of the loan period) only to university e-mail addresses. 12. Penalties For every day that exceeds the agreed loan period you pay a penalty of 2 CZK per each borrowed item (book, document, etc.)

13. Self-ServiceCopyingandPrinting The credit bought in the Library of the Faculty of Physical Culture may be used within the whole Palacký University for printing and copying. 1 copy A4 = 1.20 CZK NOTE: Don‘t confuse with credit for meals in student dining halls!

14. Self-servicecopyingandprinting Printing in theFacultyofPhysicalCultureisavailablein thecomputerroom. (on thesame -4th- floor). Youcan also printusingthecomputers in theFacultycorridors – just sendthedocument to beprinted to thecopiermachine on the 1st floor. To printyouhave to enter: • Your ISIC number as yourusername; • Yourspecial˝birth“ code (if not sure, askyourcoordinator) as a password (thesameoneyou use forthePortallogin).
