  1. Status of eμ low-pT trilepton analysis M.Rossi,G.Pauletta,M.Giordani Udine University SUSY meeting

  2. Data and MC • Data • SUSY dilepton dataset edil0d • Good run list v7 no silicon (224pb-1), CEM4_CMUP4 trigger • MC • Signal point (m0=100,m1/2=180,A0=0,tanβ=5,μ>0)~360fb-1 • DY sexo9t (Z ll, Mll>5GeV/c2)~5fb-1 • ttbar (ttopel)~170fb-1 • WW (wtop1w)~34fb-1 • ZZ (Oscar)~535fb-1 • WZ (Madgraph)~430fb-1 • bbbar (Giovanni)~57pb-1 • Fakes • using CEM8 and CMUP8 inclusive samples • Lepton+fake selection requiring events with • real first lepton (CEM8 for eμ and CMUP8 for μe) • fake lepton using Liverpool method SUSY meeting

  3. Event Selection • Events with 1 electron and 1 muon • Leading lepton pT>10 GeV/c • Next-to-leading lepton pT>5 GeV/c • High pT (>20GeV/c) CEM and CMUP selection • Standard top/ewk definition • 4-20GeV/c pT range • Muon ID as in CDF 7197 (Purdue) • Electron ID as high pT SUSY meeting

  4. Last time Meμ MET OS A lot to understand SS SUSY meeting

  5. Since last time • Code • Fixed bug in dilepton fake estimation • Fixed bug in bbbar sample • MC • WZ NEW inclusive sample ~430fb-1 • bbbar (Giovanni) ~57pb-1 (last time 30 pb-1) SUSY meeting

  9. eμ Control Regions SUSY meeting

  10. μe events Mμe MET OS SS SUSY meeting

  11. A2+F • MET>15 GeV • nJET>1 • G+I • MET<10 GeV • nJET<2 • A+E • MET>15 GeV • nJET<2 μe Control Regions Mμe Mμe Mμe OS SUSY meeting

  12. μe Control Regions SUSY meeting

  13. Conclusions • Much more confident in lepton+fake estimation • bbbar • need a lot more • will double the statistics by next week • Dilepton CRs need some more work but look much more reasonable than last time • Will look at trilepton CR and 320 pb-1 SUSY meeting

  14. Lepton+fake Calculation • Using CEM8 and CMUP8 inclusive samples • Lepton+fake selection requiring events with • real first lepton • CEM8 for eμ and CMUP8 for μe • fake lepton using Liverpool method • Should rescale for the trigger efficiency (εCEM4/εCEM8) but • Don’t have the numbers handy • Neglecting it as a first estimate should be fine • εCEM4 = 0.956, εCEM18 = 0.966 • εCMUP4 = 0.92, εCMUP18 = 0.90 • Rescale for the considered integrated luminosity SUSY meeting

  15. μe (10,5) OLD Mμe MET OS SS SUSY meeting
