  3. What's in the course? 1. Science contents and Pedagogical (teaching) skills 2. Core concepts in Physical, Life and Earth Science 3. Implementation of Grade 1-5 Science curriculum

  4. Course Outcomes At the end of this course, you must understand: 1. Ecological system and it's interdependence 2. Effect of human activity on ecosystem 3. Physical, chemical and biological processes in ecosystem 4. The ecosystem processes and it's relation with energy 5. Matter and practice theory 6. Chemical reactions and their results 7. Relationship of force, mass and motion 8. Science teaching models 9. Read, record, analyze data 10. Meaningful presentation of research data

Teaching-Learning Framework At the end of this course, you must be able to: Apply inquiry to the teaching of science at the elementary level Identify, adapt, and modify investigations that lead to conceptual understanding Design science investigations around core concepts Understand the need for learning progressions Recognize common misconceptions and be able to respond Use open-ended questions to assess children’s conceptual understanding Provide children with exciting science experiences that extend their natural fascination with the world and help them learn the science skills and concepts they will need in later schooling and in life Reflect on their teaching to develop a personal approach to the teaching of science
