  4. Validation Using Dedicated RAOBs • Obtaining and tabulating overpass/launch information for Year-2 Dedicated RAOBs currently being launched at ARM sites • Plan to update on a bi-weekly to monthly basis • There has been a hiatus the past couple weeks for reassessments • Will strive to spread out launches over a period longer than 6 months • Will strive for uniform 5 m/s balloon ascents as per Vaisala recommendation • Launch schedules have recently been updated and launches have just resumed • Obtaining matchup granule “stamps” • IDPS SDRs, TDRs, CCRs, EDRs • Looking into including VIIRS stamps (for potential future cloud work) • RAOB data degraded to 100 effective RTA layer • Working with Frank Tilley on NPROVS-side • Performing initial QA on matchups • SDR/TDR “stamps” to be used for re-retrievals based on CrIMSS OE, NUCAPS • CrIS Dual-Regression algorithm retrievals
