  3. 2013 NOAA AEROSE Campaign: RAOB Briefing • Campaign conducted successfully as planned • 8 Jan thru 13 Feb 2013 (5.5 weeks) • 111 Vaisala RS92-SGP radiosondes launched • 67 for NPP (some of these are between swaths, so expect final tally of ≈60 matchups) • 43 for MetOp-A IASI overpasses (again some will be between swaths) • 24 ECC Ozonesondes launched • 23 for NPP, 1 for MetOp • 14 daytime, 10 nighttime

NOAA AEROSE Campaign: Science Highlights • RAOB matchups were obtained under dust and smoke aerosol outflows, under good clear to partly cloudy sky conditions • On a couple days there were no visible clouds within any lines of sight from the ship location • Handheld sunphotometer data revealed solar spectrum AODs up to 0.6 • We are obtaining SEVIRI multichannel high-resolution imager data for the domain to verify sky conditions • Coordinated RAOB launches were conducted with NWS Puerto Rico and UPRM for the same NPP overpass at the end of the campaign
