  2. Vegetables were always limited for the upper class. Only the rich were aloud to hunt for there own meat. The daily meals for the upper classes during the middle ages had a huge variety of foods. Food items that came from the ground were only fit for the poor. Usually the poor had a diet of bread, pottage, dairy products, and meat such as beef, pork, and lamb. The poor ate rye and barley bread. Difference between foods for the rich and poor

  3. The schedule of the daily foods • Breakfast-generally started between 6am-7am • Dinner (lunch)-generally started between 12am-2pm • Supper-generally started between 6pm-7pm & accompanied by various forms of entertainment

  4. Spices and Ingredients • The nobility could afford the expensive spices & sweets to create there recipes. • Most of there ingredients were home grown. • The nobility required a taste for spices & sweet foods.

  6. Middle age Festivals • They had festivals on Christmas, Easter, may day, and at the end of there harvesting. • their festivals were outdoor gatherings. • One game that they play at there festivals was jousting.
