  4. Find The Area How do we find the area of a rectangle? 4 feet 6 feet

  5. Area = length X width 4 feet 6 feet Area = 6 feet X 4 feet = 24 feet squared

  7. What would be greater, the perimeter of your bedroom or the area of your house??? You’re Right! The perimeter of your house would be greater than the perimeter of your bedroom because it has more distance around the edge

  8. Find The Perimeter How do we find the perimeter of a rectangle? 4 feet 6 feet

  9. Perimeter = length + width + length + width 6 + 4 + 6 + 4 = 20 feet Perimeter= 2 X length + 2 X width 4 feet 6 feet Perimeter = 2 x 6 + 2 x 4 Perimeter = 12 + 8 = 20 feet
