  3. Spiritual Sickness Can Occur • Everyone, sometime in their life gets sick • Children can become sick (1 Cor. 3:1) • Elderly can become sick (Gal. 5:7) • Everyone can become sick (1 Cor. 11:30)

  4. Spiritual Sickness Can Be Diagnosed • What are your symptoms? What is the diagnosis? • Divisive and contentious (1 Cor. 1:10-11) • Fleshly minded (Gal. 5:19-21) • Tossed back and forth (Eph. 4:14)

  5. Spiritual Sickness Can Be Diagnosed • Refuse to work together (Phil. 4:2) • Lack of growth (Heb. 5:12-14) • Follows human wisdom (Col. 2:8ff) • Disorderly (2 Thess. 3:6)

  6. Spiritual Sickness Can Be Diagnosed • Drifting and falling (Heb. 2:1; 3:12; 4:1ff) • Forsaking the assembling (Heb. 10:25) • Fighting and worldliness (Jas. 4:1-4) • Lukewarmness (Rev. 3:16-19)

  9. Spiritual Sickness Can Be Deadly • How bad is your sickness? • Sin brings death (Rom. 6:23) • Spiritual sickness can grow (Isa. 1:5) • Spiritual sickness left untreated results in death (Heb. 6:6; 10:26-27; 1 Jn. 5:16-17)

  10. Spiritual Sickness Can Be Cured • Do you want to be healed of your sickness? • You must turn to God, not man (Jer. 6:7; 30:12-14; Hos. 5:13) • You must get help (Ezek. 34:4,16) • You must follow the orders of Jesus “the Great Physician” (Mk. 2:17)
