  2. About Grapes • Grapes grow in clusters of 6 to 300, and can be crimson, black, dark blue, yellow, green and pink • Grapes are about 80 percent water, making them a delectable low-calorie snack or dessert • Spanish explorers introduced the fruit to America approximately 300 years ago

  3. About Grapes • Grapes come in more than 50 varieties in black, blue, blue-black, golden, red, green, purple, and white colors with a juicy pulp inside. The two main types of grapes are the American and European • The anti-oxidants (e.g. resveratrol and quercetin) combat both cancer and cardio-vascular disease – the two biggest killers of our times

  4. Grape Wine (Polyphenols) • Reduces the risk of heart disease and cancer. It works by controlling the free radicals found in many processed foods that are so common in today’s fast-food diet, and these free radicals are chiefly responsible for the numerous cancers affecting so many of the world’s population

  5. Grape Wine (Resveratrol) • Gives such potent health-giving properties, and is something that you should definitely keep in mind the next time you sip a glass of wine. • a glass help increase resistance to brain and nerve diseases, cancer, and heart disease as well

  6. Grape Wine (Resveratrol) • You also get the advantage of increasing your athletic ability, lowering your blood sugar, and getting an over-all longer lifespan than a non wine drinker.

  7. Why Grape Wine? • Though using grapes as a primary ingredient in wine making is common, we would want to come up with a different kind of approach.

  8. Ingredients • 1 bunch of grapes • Water • Yeast • Grape Juice (optional)

  9. Materials • Plastic container • Big plastic bottle • Whisk or a wooden spoon • Potato Masher • Strainer • Rubber band • Balloon

  10. Procedure 1. Rinse the grapes thoroughly and remove the stems 2. Mash the grapes sing the potato masher 3. Add water then stir the mixture using the wooden spoon

  11. Procedure 4. Mix 5. Transfer the mixture to the plastic bottle. Use the strainer to separate the pulps 6. Add a bit of juice (optional) 7. Add the yeast to the mixture

  12. Procedure 8. Place the balloon on the mouth of the bottle. Wrap the bottom part of the balloon with rubber band 9. Place the bottle with the mixture to ferment
